Nova Datacom, LLC, a provider of information assurance and security services to the public and private sectors, is proud to announce the completion of multiple certifications by two of its advanced engineers, Stefan Fouant and Scott Morris.
“Nova Datacom engineers are the foundation of our success; our clients rely on us to solve their mission critical challenges and provide expert-level knowledge to apply solutions they can’t find anywhere else,” states Joe Kim, Director of Engineering. “We recognize the need for continual education, training, and hands on experimentation, and back it up with substantial corporate investments in our employees, internal lab environments, and technology acquisitions. The results speak for themselves; our team consists of some of the brightest and highly skilled engineers in this industry.”
Stefan Fouant has successfully completed the Juniper Networks Certified Internet Expert’s certification exam in Enterprise Routing (JNCIE-ER), which in addition to his existing Juniper Networks Certified Internet Expert’s M/T Series (JNCIE-M/T) certification, makes Fouant one of a small group of highly trained engineers who hold both certifications.
Fouant, owner of several patents focused on Denial of Service Attack Detection and Mitigation, as well as Network Based Firewalls, currently provides pre and post sales support for a number of clients in the areas of Network Architecture and Design, Network Access Control, Data-Center Virtualization, Disaster Recovery/ Continuity of Operations Planning, Voice and Video integration, and overall Information Security best practices. His background prior to joining Nova Datacom includes launching an industry-first DDoS Mitigation and Detection service at Verizon Business, as well as building customized solutions for various mission-critical networks.
Scott Morris added the successful completion of the Cisco Certified Design Expert to his impressive roster of advanced engineering certifications. At one time, he was the only non-Cisco employee in the world to hold quadruple CCIEs, although he has been very instrumental in making that no longer the case. Morris’ career path has seen him training internal engineers at Cisco Systems, developing Cisco training programs and managing the development and training of other instructors. With both Fortune 500 companies, as well as Public Industry, Morris has worked within service provider networks around the world on designs and implementations of DOCSIS (cable networks), Carrier Ethernet, and Advanced MPLS / MPLS-VPN networks and multi-ISP BGP design. With expert-level certification on more than one vendor, Morris is able to work exceptionally well in multi-vendor environments.
As the Chief Technologist for Nova Datacom, he is responsible for driving new technology research and solution development to support and expand NDC’s current security offerings. Most recently, Morris has been concentrating on concept testing how to leverage Remote Data Warehousing for Disaster Recovery and COOP solutions.
